Picked up from the event base on the day of the event. We recommend checking into this area at least 45 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.
If you are completing the same course distance as your last outing (Short, Mid or Long) you need to simply turn up wearing that same race number and get ticked off at reistration. Remember to hold onto this number for the whole series.
If you are changing courses (up or down) you need to be issued with a different colour race number at registration.

It has taken a bit of work in nailing down a venue but we have secured an old favourite in Whitford Forest.
The courses have been set at this point but we may give them a little tweaking before the weekend so you all get the most out of Whitford.
All that said it is going to be another cracker in this often overlooked forest. With a great mix of rolling mountain bike trails and fast forestry road sections we guarantee you will come away smiling!

There have been a number of changes to the short course. You have a nice downhill to start down Main Rd. After 1km you go over a bridge and turn left onto Stream rd this leads you to the Grim Raker trail. You hit a drink station at the end if this trail and this marks about the 2km point of the run. You then make a right down Main Rd. You follow this for approximately 1.8km before veering left onto Ray rd and following that for about another 500m. There you will head into the Boss trail on your right. This is a fantastic MTB trail that will wind you all the way to the finish area for a well earned sausage!
One located at the 2km mark and at the start of the Boss trail.

You follow this road for another 800m then make a right down an old road and a quick left onto El Sandero trail. This trail lasts for approx 500m. At the end you pop out at the top of lookout rd and head right down Grove rd. You go past the picnic tables and over the cattle grate, down the hill, through the mud and at the bottom turn right onto Ray rd. About 100m up you turn right onto the Abyss trail and follow this for 1.5km. You pop back out onto Ray rd and head left. Here you will be merging with the Short course competitors and following them right down the boss trail all the way to the finish.

This is 2km of awesome trail. You pop back onto Ray Rd and head right down the road to the Abyss trail on your left. Follow Abyss for about 1.5km. After that you pop back out onto Ray rd and head left. About 100m down the road you hit the Boss trail on the right. This is another great trail that leads you right back to the finish! Just in time for a sausage!

It wouldn’t be a Total Sport event unless you were following hanging white tape and red arrows on a white corflute backing. While course are well marked you will still need to keep your eyes open out there.
We need to stress that you need to stick to the trail you are on unless you are directed off by an arrow!
Key intersections will be clearly marked to make life easy for you!

We strongly recommend that all competitors come to these events sensibly prepared as some of these courses are very tough and weather conditions can be extremely changeable. We recommend running with a camelbak loaded with up to 2L of water and/or Balance along with Balance squeezy’s and other nutritional nibbles.
You can expect to be away from base for a decent period of time at these events! While event medics will be at each event & competitors may encounter on course marshals with first aid on them it also pays to be safety conscious and carry items like a basic first aid kit, cell phone, whistle and additional warm clothing.
